About us
We're Arty Stuff, an independently-owned small business based in the UK's south west. We launched our online store, Arty-Stuff.com in summer 2022.
We've always loved horticulture, vintage prints and contemporary abstract art, and in early 2022 we decided to develop ranges of homeware and wall art, sourcing beautiful vintage or abstract-inspired designs from around the world.
The people behind Arty Stuff are Chris and Misty - although Misty is a dog and so doesn't take on any day-to-day responsibilities.
A large majority of our products are made to order by Prodigi, so when you order an item, it gets handmade for you, rather than being picked out of a big warehouse having been shipped from China. This is why they are a little more expensive than buying from a larger retailer.
By purchasing a product from Arty Stuff, you'll be helping an independent creator to carry on creating.
We're still starting out from scratch and developing products and designs, so if you have any feedback then please let us know!

🌿 Our Commitment to Sustainability
One of the things we're most proud of at Arty Stuff is that our model is sustainable by design. Because everything is made to order, we never overproduce. There's no pile of unsold stock sitting in a warehouse, no bulk manufacturing runs, and no waste from items that never find a home.
Made to Order — Zero Waste
When you place an order with us, your item is produced specifically for you — and only for you. This is the opposite of how most mass-market retailers work, where thousands of identical products are manufactured in advance and whatever doesn't sell ends up discarded. Our approach means:

- ✅ No unsold inventory — nothing goes to waste
- ✅ Reduced shipping distances — production happens closer to you via our partner Prodigi's global network
Supporting Independent Artists
Every design we sell comes from an independent creator. When you buy from Arty Stuff, you're not funding a faceless corporation — you're directly supporting a real person who made something beautiful. We believe art should be valued, not mass-produced and commoditised.

Because we're not racing to fill shelves, we focus on quality. Each piece is produced with care using premium materials, built to be kept and cherished — not thrown away after a season.
